Dr. Michael Kolta will participate in two presentations at the 2026 Christian Business Faculty Association (CBFA) Annual Conference, taking place October 22–24, 2026, and hosted by Palm Beach Atlantic University.

This year's conference, themed “Innovation and Biblical Principles: Empowering Christian Business Leaders to Drive Ethical Innovation,” brings together educators, researchers, and business professionals to explore the intersection of faith, ethics, innovation, and education.

Dr. Kolta will contribute to two sessions:

CBFA Panel Discussion — Friday, October 23, at 9:00 AM

Dr. Kolta will participate in a panel discussion exploring the interaction between artificial intelligence (AI) and finance, including the growing role of AI in stock trading, financial planning, and investment decision-making.

The discussion will address common misconceptions about AI in financial markets, the ethical challenges of AI-driven financial tools, and the impact of AI on employment and capital markets. Panelists will also examine the importance of transparency in AI systems, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the implications of AI for corporate finance, investment strategies, and faith-based investing.

Teaching Talk on Compound Interest + Coding — Saturday, October 24, at 9:30 AM

In his second presentation, Dr. Kolta will deliver a teaching talk titled “Gather Little by Little,” demonstrating how computer programming can help students understand compound interest and the long-term benefits of consistent saving.

Using Python, the presentation will show how a simple programming loop can calculate investment growth over time and illustrate the significant impact of regular contributions. Inspired by Proverbs 13:11, the lesson combines coding, financial literacy, and biblical principles to highlight how small, consistent steps can lead to meaningful growth.
